Sufi Guidance in Spiritual Path – 'Tawhid' & ‘Tariqah’

Envisaging a virtuous society of ethical elegance and spiritual prowess, the primary task and the key service constantly met by the Jeelani Trust is the moral transformatory mission of tasawwuf & tariqah (Sufi moral teachings and spiritual guidance in a complete Sufi silsila), initiated under the Sufi Guru His Holiness Quthbuzzaman Dr. Shaikh Sufi Muhammad Yousuf Sulthan Shah Qadiri Chishti, the founder of the Trust. Carrying forward the sacred tradition of Qadiri – Chishti order, the Sufi successor and the current supreme master of the order, His Holiness Naeb Quthbuzzaman Dr. Sheikh Nizamudhin Sulthan Shah Qaidiri Chishti earnestly upholds the spiritual mission, with an increased thrust on da’wah (propagation of the Sufi path) and extensive developments in ethical-humanitarian mission.

Steadfastly standing for the key foundational objective behind establishing a global Sufi centre for peace and harmony - Quthbuzzaman Jeelani Shareef, the Jeelani mission is dedicated to spreading the message of Sufi path (tariqah) and offering moral guidance to the people across diverse spectrum of religion, culture, language and nationality. Being personally available to the regular visitors and seekers, Holy Sufi Shaikh Naeb Quthbuzzaman solemnly continues the legacy of his father and renowned Sufi master Holy Hazrat Quthbuzzaman, helping people attain ethical perfection, initiating spiritual awakening and ensuring ultimate success and satisfaction in life, through reconnecting with almighty God’s grace and rekindling holy Prophet’s path of peace and blessings. Integrating the general public and involving the disciples, Jeelani Shareef hosts all kinds of spiritual seekers and peace-lovers, with the open events of the daily ziyarah (ritual visitation and prayer) at the sacred Maqam of Holy Sufi Hazrat Quthbuzzaman and the monthly Swalat Majlis (Sufi congregation of ‘Peace & Blessings’), and various everyday occasions of meeting with the kind and compassionate supreme spiritual guide, Hazrat Naeb Quthbuzzaman.

In the sacred chain (‘silsila’) of Qadiri Sufi masters, following the founding father Hazrat Quthbuzzaman’s Sufi path of spiritual awakening in the tradition of Tawhid and the luminous light (‘Nur’) of the holy Prophetic (peace and blessings be upon him), Sufi Guru Hazrat Naeb Quthbuzzaman Dr. Shaikh Nizamuddin Sulthan Shah Qadiri Chishti stands as the 36th spiritual successor of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and was chosen as the 19th Sufi descendant of Ghaus al-A’zam Sheikh ‘Muhyiddin’ Abdul Qadir al-Jeelani (may he be blessed), the supreme master and the founder of Qadiri Sufi path, established in early medieval Baghdad – in present-day Iraq.

The tariqah (guidance in Sufi path) of Hazrat Quthbuzzaman and Naeb Quthbuzzamn is fundamentally shaped by the life and teachings of the supreme masters of Qadiri and Chishti Silsila, Hazrat Ghaus al-A’zam (ra) and Holy Imam Ali (as) being the most prominent. Closely connected to Ajmer Shareef and Baghdad Shareef, the Sufi culture of Jeelani Shareef deeply rooted in pure love and passionate belief in the beloved messenger of almighty Allah, holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

Taking forward Hazrat Quthbuzzaman’s phenomenal mission of reviving the pristine human spirit of din (religion) and illuminating the divine Light of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) in the human hearts, Hazrat Naeb Quthbuzzaman insists on reviving the more amicable life style of traditional Islam, the foundation of which is Sufi path, grounded in tawhid (divine unity), tasawwuf (spiritual purity), guided by sunnah (close adherence to the pious traditions of the Prophet - pbuh).
