Nizamia Institute for Islamic Studies and Liberal Arts (reg. no. 01/ 2021) is a unique residential educational institution, located within the serene compound of the global Sufi centre, Quthbuzzaman Jeelani Shareef, Cochin - Kerala. A key initiative of the Jeelani Trust, Nizamia Isntitute is a thriving model educational venture, under the astute Chairmanship of the Sufi leader Dr. Shaikh Nizamuddin Sulthan Shah Qadiri Chishti.

Providing advanced studies in religious and modern academic programmes from secondary up to post-graduate levels, with specialized focus on studies and mentoring in Sufism, Nizamia Institute offers also cutting-edge courses in Information and Communication Technology, and avenues for vocational training and programmes for life skills.

The thriving project of the ongoing Nizamia educational enterprise was an innovative development initiated by the current Chairman, Dr. Shaikh Nizamuddin Sulthan, inaugurated in December 2021, after systematically upgrading and redesigning the academic profile of the previous institution (Al-Madeena Islamic & Arts College, estd. 2011). Redefining the track of excellence and reviving the tradition of true scholarship, the breakthrough educational venture under Jeelani Trust, effectively realized through Nizamia Institute and Nizamia Madrasa, dynamically carry forward the dedicated mission of socio-religious and educational reform spearheaded by the founder, Holy Hazrat Quthbuzzaman.

Among other newly introduced educational novelties, the futuristic excellence project of ‘Gurukulam Nizamia’ (2023) stands out as remarkable innovation designed to deepen the academic brilliance and research orientation of the students of Nizamia, alongside exploring hands-on experience in public engagements and collaborative ventures of knowledge production.
